|Professional Experience||Barry has an undergraduate degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. He has over 35 years of professional experience primarily in the investment banking sector. After a six year stint in engineering, Barry commenced a career in investment banking and spent 12 years at Macquarie Bank. As a division director, Barry was heavily involved in the growth of the Bank’s asset finance business and the establishment of a number of businesses internationally for Macquarie. He speaks fluent Arabic and has been involved in many Middle East based projects. Barry has also worked on the establishment of property funds management platforms and raised capital from sovereign wealth funds. He also rolled out the Middle East expansion strategy for an Australian listed entity and more recently, advised on several property, mining and manufacturing projects.
Barry currently sits on a number of not-for-profit boards. He is a director of Our Lady Aged Care Centre and vice-chair of MaroniteCare.
