Dr Frank Alafaci

Dr Frank Alafaci BA (Hons.), Dott. Lett., MA (Hons.), PhD is an academic,
business leader, public speaker and author.

Well-known in business circles, Dr Alafaci is also President of the Australian
Business Summit Council Inc., an elite non-profit organisation that serves as an
important medium for sound business policies and practices, enabling business
leaders to network and augment business opportunities in Australia and abroad.

He is the editor-in-chief of EKONOMOS business affairs magazine and was an
article contributor on economics and finance to the Fortune Weekly magazine
published in the weekend edition of the Australian New Express Daily, one of the
highest selling Chinese Australian newspapers until it ceased publication.

Dr Alafaci was instrumental in convening and moderating the 2015 Korean
Australian Forum on East Asian Sovereignty Disputes and was the Convenor and
Master of Ceremonies of the 2015 Korean Small Business Forum, receiving that
same year the Korean Community Service Award from the Korean Society of
Sydney for services to the Korean Australian community.

He was invited as the keynote speaker on South Korea: Asia’s Economic Miracle
by His Excellency Dr Whie Jin Lee (former Consul General of the Republic of
Korea) at the Korean Australian Friendship Luncheon (Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney)
in 2015 and as one of the keynote speakers with his address on the Australia
China Economic Relationship at the Fifth China Beijing International Fair for
Trade in Services Roadshow (Rydges World Square Hotel, Sydney) in 2017.

Dr Alafaci also appeared as one of the principal speakers with his address on
Trade and Investment between Australia and the Philippines at the Filipino-
sponsored 2019 Alumni Association of Australia International Convention
(Pullman Hyde Park Hotel, Sydney) and delivered an important speech on
Climate Change at the “Climate in Multilateral Mode: The Paris Agreement”
breakout session during an elite conference of former world leaders (Imperial
Springs International Forum, Guangzhou, China) in 2019.

More recently, Dr Alafaci received a Community Service Award as the President
of the Australian Business Summit Council Inc. for services to the business
community from the Hon. Stephanie Di Pasqua MP, the Member for Drummoyne,
New South Wales in 2024, and was admitted that same year as a Fellow of the
UBSS Centre for Entrepreneurship for distinguished contributions to
entrepreneurship in Australia.
