Italian Opera Foundation Australia Scholarship
The scholarship provides for study in Italy for a prolonged period of time for a young, talented Australian singer. It is a flexible study program designed to suit the operatic goals of the winner.
It allows the winner to be exposed to authentic tutoring by Italian Maestri, not available in Australia, and the opportunity to experience first-hand Operatic life in Europe.
Our winners live in Italy for a length of time so they can immerse themselves in the Italian culture, developing a greater understanding of Italian Opera and this is what makes our Scholarship different from others offered in Australia.
Italian Institute of Culture Scholarship
All our winners are offered The Italian Language Award from the Italian Institute of Culture. This allows them to learn and develop Italian language skills prior to their time in Italy. This basic training not only will assist them with everyday life in Italy, it will also develop their understanding and pronunciation of the Italian Operas.
